Sharon has worked in clinics and private homes with adults and adolescents, and provided crisis intervention counseling to patients wanting to improve their quality of life.

As a director of Advanced Healthcare Solutions for the past 15 years, she oversees the operations of the practice always ensuring the highest quality of patient care through staff training, enhancement and quality assurance.

Sharon also continues to own and operate Advanced Thermal Imaging, a thermography clinic serving the women of North Carolina.

She is passionate about helping patients become well-informed consumers, particularly with regard to women’s and children’s health. She works to restore health and balance to her patients’ lives, and her love for nurturing helps people to find lasting health and wellness in her care.

Sharon is dedicated to her family, which comprises her husband Marc and her sons, Noah and Max. She relocated to the triangle area from New York where she met her best friend and husband, Marc. She enjoys gardening, spending time with family and friends and hiking in the woods. In her free time she has fun trying out new bread recipes, learning and fine-tuning healthy, grain-free or raw meals and desserts.

Marc received a specialization in ear acupuncture after completing private study with Dr. Li-Chun Huang in China, world-renowned for her work in auricular medicine. He also trained extensively with Dr. Jishun Hao, a leading authority on scalp acupuncture for neurological diseases. Additionally, Marc studied under Dr. Richard Tan, one of the most respected acupuncturists globally, known for his work in body balance and accelerated healing through ancient acupuncture methods. He also trained privately with Dr. Jimmy Chang, the world’s foremost expert in pulse diagnosis.

Marc was among the first acupuncturists in the region to introduce Cosmetic Acupuncture, offering patients a natural facelift alternative without the risks associated with plastic surgery.

As a respected leader in the acupuncture community, Marc served as President of the North Carolina Acupuncture Association. He was also a Professor at the Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he taught multiple courses and served as a Clinical Instructor, guiding interns through all levels of training before they entered professional practice.

Marc and his family made Raleigh their home for more than two decades. A lifelong hockey enthusiast and player (Go Canes!), Marc’s passion for learning and excellence was evident from a young age. Selected for accelerated academic programs, he entered college at 16 and went on to earn dual bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Sociology and a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy and Social Welfare from Stony Brook University. His early career as a college counselor and later as Assistant Dean of Students was rewarding, but his true calling in medicine and healing led him to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he earned his degree in Acupuncture and Natural Healing.

An avid reader and researcher, Marc believed deeply in sharing knowledge to empower others. He authored multiple works and had been completing his second book, “Making Your Health Your Hobby,” which aimed to inspire people to make small, meaningful lifestyle changes—through nutrition, time management, stress reduction, and mindful living—to enjoy healthier, purpose-driven lives.

Throughout his career, Marc appeared on numerous TV and radio programs, sharing his wisdom on holistic healing and acupuncture with audiences nationwide.

Marc S. Cutler passed away in 2025, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, healing, and dedication that continues to inspire those whose lives he touched.
